Andreas Beyer studied chemistry at the University of Freiburg and the Technical University of Berlin from 1992-1998 and obtained his doctorate in the field of catalytic polymer membranes at the Institute of Technical Chemistry of the Technical University of Berlin (working group of Prof. Reichert). He trained as a patent attorney from 2001-2005 in law firms in Berlin and Wiesbaden, at the German Patent and Trademark Office and at the Federal Patent Court.
He has been working in the field of intellectual property since 2001 and as a patent attorney since 2005. He has several years of industry experience from working as patent counsel in the patent department of Bayer CropScience AG/Bayer BioScience. He joined our firm as a partner in 2010.
His practice focuses on grant and opposition proceedings of German, European and international patent applications, trademark prosecution, employee invention law, and the drafting of license, non-disclosure, material transfer and cooperation agreements.
