Curriculum vitae

Dr. Ramrath studied electrical engineering with a focus on mechatronics at the Darmstadt University of Technology. He also studied mechanical engineering at the State University of New York at Buffalo, USA, specializing in control engineering and signal processing. He was a scholarship holder of the Episcopal Scholarship Foundation Cusanuswerk (Bischöfliche Studienförderung Cusanuswerk) and Robert Bosch GmbH. He then worked as a research assistant at the University of Luebeck and completed his doctorate in the field of medical robotics. His activities also include medical robotics, coordinate measuring technology, rail vehicle technology, additive manufacturing (3D printing) and smart home systems.

Dr. Ramrath has been working in the field of intellectual property since 2009 and has been a partner in our firm since 2012. He in particular manages patent infringement proceedings, vindication proceedings (“stolen patents”), due diligence examinations, and advises on IP strategy and management, in particular on the establishment and maintenance of an IP portfolio and on IP-related corporate processes (IP consulting).
