Freund studied materials sciences and engineering at FAU Erlangen-Nuremberg, specializing in materials for electronics and energy technology, crystal growth, glass and ceramics. In addition, he studied environmental engineering at San Diego State University. After graduating, he researched in the field of additive manufacturing of multi-material components and lattice structures as a doctoral candidate at the Institute of Engineering Design at TU Braunschweig. He gained further professional experience in the field of industrial additive manufacturing.

He has been working in the field of intellectual property law since the beginning of 2025 and supports our clients in patent application and patent grant proceedings as well as in trade mark law.
