Curriculum vitae
Roman Pohrt studied engineering physics at Technical University of Berlin, specializing in electrodynamics, numerical methods, and simulation. He subsequently earned his Ph.D. and habilitation as part of industry-related collaborative research projects in various areas of friction physics, including wind turbines, manufacturing technology, and technical environmental protection. His theoretical and experimental work has received numerous awards, including from the German Society for Tribology (GfT). Scientific collaborations took him to Australia, Russia, and China. Roman Pohrt also served as chief editor of the journal “Frontiers in Mechanical Engineering: Tribology” from 2018 to 2025 and worked as a freelancer in the field of physical process simulation.
Since 2025, he has been working in the field of intellectual property law and supports our clients with patent application and grant procedures as well as trade mark law.
